I am beginning to realise that Colleen Hoover books are definitely
for me, I love her style of writing, the way she draws you in with her words, and
submerge you into her characters’ world.
Sydney is living in an
idyllic bubble – she is a dedicated student with a steady job on the side. She lives
with her best friend, has a great boyfriend, and the music coming from the
balcony opposite hers is fast becoming the soundtrack to her life. But when
Sydney finds out her boyfriend is cheating on her, the bubble bursts.
Sydney was a lovable character and I wanted to get up and
help fight her battle for her, she meets Ridge the owner of the mysterious
music from the balcony opposite her. Ridge is also an inviting character, I have to admit this
was the first time that I read a book with a deaf lead character, and the way
Hoover wrote him, had me hooked from the start.
A great read that had me hooked from the first words. Would
recommend this if you are a music lover and love romance. This was a will they,
won’t they story and had me guessing until the end.
