What a book! At
first I was sceptical about the subject matter, I really didn’t think it would
be my cup of tea, as I usually don’t go for horror or thrillers, but it got me.
From the moment I
started reading I couldn’t put it down.
It follows Erin, whose
daughter was kidnapped for Muti, her struggles to get her daughter back and get
the police to listen to her. Realising that the police wasn’t going to be any
help because they were corrupt, she slowly started looking for clues to save
her daughter.
I was chewing my
nails, feeling Erin’s anguish at finding her daughter, the suspense was nerve
wrecking and even more so when you realise that this is a thing in South
Africa, this is real.
Fantastically
written and the characters are well rounded, a must read for all thriller
lovers!
